Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Puppies

This was the first litter of Griffons that we bred.  The sire was Philippe Roca’s dog CH Bec Duchasseur and the dam was our girl Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.

This litter was a repeat breeding of the B litter.  The father was our dog CH Wet Acres Moonshine JH and the dam was Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.  This was Maggie’s last litter.   This is the litter that all the titles fell on.  We have 4 Champions, 1 Grand Champion, our first Master Hunter and several with multiple titles in performance events.

This litter was a breeding between “Sweet Pea”, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ and AM/CAN CH Duchasseur Bayou FD.  This litter had 6 puppies, 3 boys and 3 girls. This litter was the first we had qualify for a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder’s Award.

This was the first breeding between our dog Rugby, CH Wet Acres Moonshine JH and our girl Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.  From this litter we kept Sweet Pea, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ.

We try to achieve several things through our breeding program.   First of all, we want to produce a well adjusted Griffon that fits well into its family.  We also want this puppy to look like a griffon.  Another goal of ours is that the pup will have the ability to compete in the conformation ring, hunt, hunt test, do agility and obedience.  We strive to breed an all around dog, that you can take from the field into the show ring and back.

 

We spend a lot of time socializing our puppies.  They are introduced to all kinds of stimulation before they leave.  They will have been handled and loved on extensively.  There will always be children around them.  The puppies will have been taken out into the field, seen birds and introduced to water before they leave our home.  We also start isolating each puppy before they leave.  And by the time they do leave, they are sleeping alone in their own kennel.

E litter— 26 March 2010

Pearl had 7 puppies, 4 girls and 3 boys.  The mother was Pearl, CH Bourgroyal’s BM Pearl JH and the sire was Bernie, CH Bear Hug Charming Prince Bernhard.  Out of this litter we co-own Bullet, Bear Hug Exactly One Bullet, with the owners of Bernie, David and Jana Conway.

F litter— 14 July 2010

Sweet Pea successfully delivered two puppies, 1 boy and 1 girl. The mother was Sweet Pea, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ.  The sire was Ucky du Domaine du Huguera, from France and the kennel of Pierre Berges, des Sources de Mazeres.  Both puppies decided to stay home with us.

G litter— October 2011

Sweet Pea, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ, will be the mother of this litter.  The sire will be Biggie, CH Wet Acres Nozn Around JH.  This will be a linebreeding back on several dogs that we have admired over the years.  They include CH Wet Acres Agatha Frisky JH and Pipo de la Riviere D’Oe.  We are not accepting any more reservations on this litter.
