Pearl

2007 - 2020

Pearl turned out to be the third Grand Champion we finished.  She is a very gentle dog with people but a demon in the field.  She came to us from Bourg Royal kennel and Renee Fortier  in Canada.  Her father is Am/Can CH Duchasseur Bayou.  And her dam is AM/Can CH Duchasseur Moustache.  Both of these dogs are wonderful companions and great gundogs.  Both have prize 1’s in the Utility Test with NAVHDA and Moustache has even been to the Invitational.
At 4 years of age, Pearl was 21 1/4” at the withers and weighs 51 pounds.   She has a blocky beautiful head and wonderful expression.  She moves very nice and has an excellent coat.  She also loves to hunt and retrieve.  She is always carrying something around in her mouth.  And you cannot keep her out of the water.  She currently finished her Conformation Championship in January 2010 and her Grand Championship in August 2011.
Pearl received a prize III with a score of 86 on her Natural Ability test.  She received a maximum score in her water work and on the track.  In fact the judges wanted to bring her back to track again, just so that they could watch her do it, because it was so good the first time.  However, I made a mistake and with the heat, I did not give her a chance to cool off and she got too hot on the field portion of the work.  Therefore, she received a 2 on her search and ended up with a prize III.
Pearl has a rating of Good from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFFA).

Pearl Facts:

Date of Birth:  26 March, 2007

Pearl finished her Championship with Lonnie handling her.  She easily finished her grand championship.

She is 21.25 inches at the withers (53.98 cm) and weighs 51 pounds.

It took 5 attempts to pass the Junior Hunter, but that was due to handler error.  She scored an 86 for a Prize III on her Natural Ability Test with NAVHDA.  Again more my fault.

Pearl had a reading of Good on her OFA hip exam.

Pearl is the mother of our E Litter.
