Breezy
We are very proud of Breezy. The original intent was to finish her Championship, do some hunting and maybe attend a conformation show occasionally. But the dog we jokingly called the Shaky Show Shicken, took off and with growing confidence has at times been the #1 Griffon in Conformation, she finished 2011 ranked #5.
Breezy is our second little Canadian girl. We started talking about her at the specialty in Maryland and after much planning and waiting, we finally got to pick her up.
Breezy’s Mom is AM/CAN CH Duchasseur Raclette. A wonderful bitch with great conformation and hunting abilities. She has a Prize II in the Utility Test with NAVHDA. Her sire was Upman. Upman was the French National Specialty winner in 2008. A very typey French griffon with a wonderful coat and disposition.
Breezy is very easy going and loves to play. And it took some time, but she has turned into a very nice and intense hunting dog. She covers the ground well and hits all the good cover. Plus she is not afraid of heavy cover and will dive right in.
Breezy finished her AKC Championship at the end of July, 2010 in Greenville and she finished her Grand Championship on 4 February, 2011, after winning 11 straight Best of Breeds. Breezy got a Group 4 in Clemson in January, 2012/
She scored a 101 and received a prize II on her Natural Ability test in August 2011. And in November of 2010 she finished her Junior Hunter title in 4 straight passes.
And she had her hips x-rayed with Penn-Hip and had a rating of .3 and .32, this put her in the 80th percentile for hips in Griffons tested by this method.
Pearl has a rating of Good from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFFA).
