X Litter - Week 1

Well the pups have done great this first week.  They continue to gain weight and are very good at crying when they get separated from their littermates.  They have had their tails docked and dew claws removed.  They made it through these procedures with no problems.  Charlotte continues to be a great mom and she has had her mother Nellie here this week giving her advice.  Actually, Nellie just likes to get the additional treats in her food that we give the nursing mothers.  The way it worked out, the 6 girls were born first and the then 3 boys.  Was a little nervouse that we would not get a boy for a while.  But then they showed up.  Our 3 year old grandson named Two.  We asked him what he wanted to name him and that is what he came up with.  We named one after a good friend we made on our African safari last year and that is Darcie.  And then named 4 more after the golden girls.  Angle just looks like she has wings on her back.  Marsha' named Ollie and another grandson, who is older, named Roscoe.  Below are their first week of pictures, and we hope you enjoy them.
